Daud Nooh is the Founder and Instructor of Tarbiya Institute, an initiative dedicated to providing structured Islamic education for youth and the wider community.
For over a decade, he has been involved in teaching and community education within Islamic environments, including madrasas (dugsi), halaqas, Muslim Student Association (MSA) programs, youth classes, community seminars, and educational programs.
This experience has shaped a teaching approach that emphasizes practical understanding of Islam and the development of strong character, helping students connect their faith to everyday life.
In addition to teaching, he regularly delivers Friday khutbas and community lectures, addressing topics related to faith, personal development, and the challenges facing Muslims today.
At Tarbiya Institute, the focus is on helping young Muslims understand and live their faith, rather than concentrating on memorization alone. While memorization of the Qur'an is valuable, greater emphasis is placed on comprehension, reflection, and practical application — an approach that is often more meaningful and impactful for youth growing up in today's environment.
Through this approach, students study core Islamic subjects such as ʿaqīdah (belief), fiqh (Islamic law), prophetic character (akhlaq), and Islamic history, while developing confidence in their Muslim identity and the ability to apply Islamic teachings in daily life.
Tarbiya Institute aims to make Islamic education authentic, relevant, and accessible — nurturing a generation of young Muslims who understand their faith and carry it forward with sincerity and purpose.
Whoever travels a path seeking knowledge, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise.
— Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Sahih Muslim)
